Members of RC “Dipolis” are socially active leaders from Vilnius and Kaunas. Most of them are in one way or another related to both cities – for example, one came from Kaunas to Vilnius to study and decided to stay in the capital for good, or vice versa. They cherish both cities – Vilnius as well as Kaunas. For those people the most important thing is to find threads that tie these two cities, to strengthen these relations and strive for prosperity of both of the cities. These people deny any stereotypical competitive relationships and cultural conflicts between these two capitals.

Initiative group of RC “Dipolis” establishment contains some members from Lithuanian “Rotaract” clubs who gained experience for several years engaging in benevolent activity in accordance with universally accepted “Rotary” principles. Thus their ambition to establish their own “Rotary” club was nurtured gradually considering long-lived traditions of this global organization and essence of its operation.

We are related to other “Rotary” clubs by friendly relationships. This kind of experience, efficient principles of Rotary operation and strong believe in our own strength hinder us from doubts that activity of the club is beneficial for Lithuanian society.

What is the profile of “Dipolis” Club?

It is the energetic person having reached in his activity marked results and always young in his (her) heart irrespective of his (her) gender, race or political beliefs. He (she) believes in idea and power of Kaunas and Vilnius community. Each member of the club aims to realize his (her) own abilities in social field.

Each member of the club is unique, distinctive person full of new ideas and strengths to realize these ideas.

What activity features does Club “Dipolis” use for attraction of young energetic and initiative people?

RC “Dipolis” is the youngest Rotary Club in Lithuania that unites thrusting entrepreneurs, professionals and public figures from Vilnius and Kaunas.

In “Dipolis” Club personal initiative is particularly encouraged. Every member is considered very important therefore he (she) feels continual support from other members.

If person possessing new ideas wants to be heard and receive support from the affinity group then “Dipolis” is the best place for his self-expression. If ideas and thoughts of the potential member correspond to the ideas and thoughts of the club, he will feel himself in the club as he has discovered the place for activity that has been searching for.

The Club is not committed to reside in one or other location, therefore activity of “Dipolis” is very flexible in respect of place and time.

How do you select people who are allowed to take part in activity of Rotary Club “Dipolis”?

Same as in all Rotary system selection in Rotary Club “Dipolis” is very careful, it is performed in several stages, therefore only trustworthy, experienced or exceptionally perspective persons become members of the Club. Club “Dipolis” has its own values that must be respected and fostered by every member of the Club.
